The highways have taken me away from the Himalayas. Maybe one day I'll be back. But there will always be something of the Himalayas in my sights--though it will take different forms.
The highways here have taken me across the United States this summer, over 8,000 miles added to the odometer of the minivan, from California to Massachusetts and back again through 21 states and by many friends and relations.
I look forward to enjoying the next portion of my life here now--whatever it is.

- I love living in India again, and I love the work I'm doing. I love my husband and my four kids, and I miss my family in other places. Worship happens in sight of the snows at the top of the hill, in the classroom looking at students' faces, wandering among the trees on the khud, traveling on a train with a million other travelers.

So where in CA are you? Do you still have our new e-mail address? Mom & Dad's hasn't changed. There back in Ames...at least until they get more farm repair done.
